Ms. Hina LOTIA

Ms. Hina Lotia is a Program Officer at Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) - Pakistan, which is a member of LEAD International. LEAD-Pakistan is a non-governmental organization that provides training to mid-career individuals on the issues of Environment and Sustainable Development and is located in Islamabad. In September 1997, Ms. Lotia was involved in a project funded by ActionAid Pakistan to collect data in the suburbs of Pakistan. Between 1999 and 2001 she served as the Program Assistant at LEAD-Pakistan and was recently promoted to the position of a Program Officer.

She holds a M.Sc. degree in Economics from Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad, with a specialization in monetary policy and international monetary economics. She wrote her research paper on Pakistan's export performance and the national savings rate in Pakistan. A key member of LEAD-Pakistan's training unit, Ms. Lotia is involved in planning, designing, coordinating and documenting the proceedings of training sessions that LEAD-Pakistan conducts on various themes such as ecology, economy, energy, human settlements and resource use. She is also responsible for maintaining liaison with LEAD International, Associates (trainees) and other partner organizations.
