Mr. Massimo CURATELLA

Mr. Curatella has over 5 years of academic training experience in the area of computer graphics, multimedia design, web design, and advanced programming languages. He has been Program Manager of the Master in Computer Graphics of the Quasar Institute in Italy as well as lecturer to the European Institute of Design, the Istituto Superiore di Comunicazione in Rome and to many major universities and ICT institutes in Italy. He has also been a principal professor for the European Community Master in Multimedia Library and Historical Documentation program.

Mr. Curatella is a computer graphics expert, with extensive experience in the fields of animation, three-dimensional modeling and visualization. He is the chief developer of LightShaders, a collection of procedural shaders capable of reproducing real world materials in virtual and interactive environments (www.lumenumbra.com).

Mr. Curatella is also VP of new technologies for Master New Media, a non-profit organization serving the global community of communication managers utilizing the new digital communication media. He is member of the HTML Writers Guild, and an accredited journalist of Newsdesk.com. From 1995 to 1999 he has also been a contributing writer for "Commodore Gazette", "Computer Gazette", "Computer Grafica Tecniche and Applicazioni", "Amiga Magazine", "3D Professional", Italy's key professional magazines about computer graphics. He is now co-editor of MasterMind a new media newsletter for communication and training managers (master-mind-subscribe@listbot.com).

Mr. Curatella earned his Technology and Engineering degree from the University of Rome and is actively seeking his Master degree through on-line and distance learning programs. He was a participant in the World Bank Institute's 3rd Trainers Workshop on Improving Training Quality (ITQ-3) through Peer Learning and Distance Mentoring.
