| Mr. Voravate "Joe" Chonlasin is a Senior Program
Associate in the Business Development Unit, Office of Extension,
at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok, Thailand. He
is also responsible for planning, management and execution of
international training programs and activities. Mr. Chonlasin
joined AIT in 1990-1993 as Program Assistant in Agriculture
& Water Resource Development Program and rejoined the same
program as Program Associate in 1994-1995. He has conducted more
than ten training programs and seminar-cum-study visit programs
in the area of water resource management, agriculture
development and rural development planning. During 1995-1997, he
also worked as socio-economist and project coordinator in a
consultancy company which conducted eight socio-economic studies
and project analyses for irrigation, flood control and initial
environmental examination projects funded by government agencies
in Thailand.
Mr. Chonlasin holds B.Sc. in Agriculture from King Mongkut Institute of Technology (KMITL) and M.S. from the Human Settlement Development Program, School of Environment Resource and Development (SERD) of AIT in 1994. |
