| Prof. Priva "Laura" Braunfeld graduated from the
National University of Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, as Professor
of English and English Literature, and holds a Professional
License as Public Translator granted by the Supreme Court of
Justice of the Province of Mendoza, Argentina.
Prof. Braunfeld worked for the UNDP Project ARG/71/544 from 1971 to 1978. Since 1978 she has been working at the National Water Institute - Center for Water Economics, Law and Management. She has also worked for the Canada Center for Inland Waters (Canada), the Water Environment Federation (U.S.A.), the International Irrigation Management Institute (Sri Lanka), the International Environment Technology Center (Japan), the "Pierre Auger Project" (directed by Nobel Prize winner James Cronin), and many consulting firms. Some Argentine governmental organizations she has serviced are: Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Public Works, Secretariat of Human Resources and Sustainable Development, Secretariat of Water Resources, National Institute for Agricultural Technology, and International Conference Center. Prof. Braunfeld participated as translator and interpreter in many international courses and seminars both in Argentina and abroad. In 1999, the Water Environment Federation awarded her a prize in Orlando, Florida, for the outstanding translation into Spanish of the "Glossary on Wastewater Control Engineering". |
