Simone Luchini

My name is Simone Luchini and I come from Siena, Tuscany. I am 31 years old and have a degree in Political Science. I like other cultures, languages (I also speak Spanish and a little French), cooking and outdoor activity. I love the sun.

I enjoy moving around the world, not only for vacation but also to work and learn new things: this is why I have studied in Spain and worked in France, USA and Ireland. I'd like to study for an MBA in the United States.

Recently I have been working for Microsoft supporting Windows 98, and I have learnt a lot since then. I love communicating and interacting with people; I am patient, curious and very perfectionist. I think I am quite organized and responsible, trying to be funny in my seriousness.

Here at IKONOS I am a Presentation Specialist and Trainer, teaching the PowerPoint course at FAO. My "techie" background strengthened my communication skills and my outgoing personality: teaching computer stuff to people is a pleasant activity for me and I am really enjoying what I am doing at the moment. Moreover, I enjoy the multicultural people I meet at FAO and I find it rewarding for my interior growth.

At IKONOS I found a challenging environment with very high skilled colleagues, and this helps me to always learn and improve what I might take for granted. Coming to IKONOS, I have been trusted in my professionalism, and I am doing my best in returning this confidence.

I have been assigned different projects, which go from the Newsletters redaction to the Interactive Learning Tools, from Web projects to the logistic of the FAO courses. It's a challenge, and I am ready for it. A small group of responsible people like us can make great things together!
